300 native coaches got experience from Raymond Verheijen

With great interest and an audience of nearly 300 mentors from all over Bulgaria passed the seminar for coaches with the renowned specialist in the field Raymond Verheijen.

The desire of the native specialists to take part in the event necessitated an extension of the deadline and an increase in the capacity of seats in the hall weeks before Verheyen's arrival, and with the end of the last lecture, the expectations of all attendees were fulfilled, who massively expressed their satisfaction with the organization and the knowledge received.

The three-day seminar was organized by the Bulgarian Football Coaching School at the Bulgarian Football Union and took place between 17 and 19 December at Inter Expo Center.

All coaches working in the BFU system were invited to the event, and those holding UEFA "PRO", "A" and "B" licenses valid until 31.12.2024 used the seminar for continuing education (license renewal).

 

Who is Raymond Verheijen:

Raymond Verheijen has worked as an assistant coach and consultant for the Netherlands, South Korea, Russia, Argentina and Wales at 4 World Cups and 4 European Championships.Among the coaches he has worked with are Guus Hiddink , Frank Rijkaard , Louis Van Gaal and Dick Advocaat. He has also worked for Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Zenit St Petersburg and Rangers.

One of the most renowned lecturers and innovators, he has authored books of courses and seminars around the world. In 2014, he was the author of. More than 300,000 copies have been sold worldwide. In 2015, he described everything he has learned in his extensive international career in the book "How Simple Can It Be", which has been published in Dutch, English, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese and other languages.

In 2003, Raymond Verheijen presented his periodization model(six-week periodization model), which was specifically designed to meet the requirements of football periodization . The model is based on a six-week cycle that is repeated at regular intervals, and the principle that tactical training can become physical training when the intensity is increased.
