Today, 7 February, a meeting between the leadership of the Bulgarian Football Union, headed by President Georgi Ivanov, and representatives of UEFA GROW, the department of the European headquarters focused on the strategic development of the game, was held at the National Football Base Boyana. On the UEFA side, the event was attended by Oleksandr Kucheravi, Strategic Development Manager, and Ilija Kitic, Director of the GROW programme.
In addition to President Ivanov, the Bulgarian Football Union was represented by Executive Director Andrey Petrov, Deputy Executive Directors Iveta Stoyanova and Dobrin Gjonov, Technical Director Kiril Kotev and Finance Director Anton Todorov.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the preparation of the next Bulgarian Football Development Strategy, which will cover the period 2026-2030.
During the event UEFA GROW representatives shared some of their expertise as well as key data to serve as a basis for the creation of the new strategic plan.
"Close cooperation with UEFA is one of our main priorities. We will try to apply the experience, expertise and best practices of the European headquarters in the best possible way," said BFS President Georgi Ivanov.
