The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will mark World Clean Sport Day (Play True Day) on 11 April 2025 through a digital campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of clean sport.
The 2025 theme "Play Fair: It's All Up to You" highlights the individual responsibility of athletes, coaches and all stakeholders in defending clean sport.
Since its launch in 2014. Clean Sport Day has grown from a small initiative into a global movement that reaches millions each year. In 2024, for its 10th anniversary edition, the campaign achieved a potential social media reach of over 199 million worldwide; and generated 259,200 social media interactions.
"Clean Sport Day is an opportunity for the entire sporting community to come together and reaffirm our commitment to clean sport. This year's theme, 'Play Fair: It's All Up To You,' highlights that protecting the integrity of sport starts with each of us making the right choices. I encourage athletes and all fitness enthusiasts to join us for the first edition of our #PlayTrueChallenge, a fitness-based challenge that shines a spotlight on the effort and dedication of athletes and the importance of fair play," says SAA President Witold Banka.
