Bulgaria lost 1:6 against Turkey in a world qualifier played at Vasil Levski Stadium.
In the first half the Lions were evenly matched, but after the break the visitors reached an emphatic success.
Arda Guler gave the visitors the lead in the 11th minute and Bulgaria quickly got back into the game with an equaliser from Radoslav Kirilov after 120 seconds.
At the start of the second half Viktor Popov scored an own goal and the Turks took the lead again. In the 53rd Kenan Yildiz scored the third goal in the Bulgarian goal and three minutes later the left winger scored from a similar situation for 4:1.
In the middle of the second half Mehmet Zeki Çelik scored with a header to make it 5:1. At the very end Irfan Kahvedji fixed the final score.
