Bulgaria U19 National team recorded a draw and a loss against Bosnia and Herzegovina U19 in two friendlies, played at the National Football Base in Boyana, Sofia.
The first game was played on 12th of September and ended 4:4 with Nedim Hadzic scoring a hattrick and Veladzic adding another goal for Toni Karacic`s team. Kaloyan Krastev, Toni Ivanov, Radoslav Zhivkov and Valentin Antov found the net for Bulgaria.
The second game was held two days later and ended 2:0 for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nedim Hadzic opened the scoring in the 13th minute. FK Sarajevo`s forward beat a defender in the penalty area and send the ball home with a diagonal finesse shot. In the 34th minute Veladzic doubled their lead with a header after a cross by Catic.
Since the beginning of the second half the Bulgarians took the initiative and found themselves in quite a few goalscoring opportunities. Four minutes after the break Kabov could have scored, but his shot was deflected by the left bar. In the 56th minute Hadzic was left one-on-one with the goalie, but Sheytanov saved his shot. Until the end Angel Stoykov`s players tried their best, but Toni Ivanov and Kabov`s shots went wide. The goalie Kanuric also contributed for the guest`s win by saving Stamatov and Dost`s shots.
The two friendlies were part of Bulgaria`s preparation for the EURO 2018 Qualifying round. Bulgaria is in Group 8 alongside England, Republic of Ireland and the Faroe islands. Our country will be host of the mini-tournament which will be staged from 8-14th of November 2017.
