Bulgaria U21 Head coach Antoni Zdravkov took part in a press conference in Sofia. The main topic was the qualifying draw for EURO 2019, which was held at Nyon (Switzerland) last week.
"We are aiming to create a new group of players. We have enough time for that, because we enter into the qualifying games in September this year. Most of our players born in 1996 and 1997 are playing in Second League and I hope that some of them are ready to make a step forward to First League. Regarding our group rivals I could say that France are definitely the favourites to win the first place with the all the rest teams to have equal chances for the second spot" said Zdravkov.
On March 28, the Bulgaria U21 will visit Macedonia for a friendly match.
"We have an expanded list of 39 players and I will keep to oversee their performance during the season. I am also interested about some players from Bulgaria U19“ Zdravkov told the reporters.
For Euro 2019 Bulgaria is in qualifying Group 9 alongside France, Slovenia, Montenegro, Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.
Bulgaria will hosts Luxembourg on September 5 in his first qualifying game.
