Bulgaria U18 team lost 1:3 against Slovakia U18 in a determination game for 5 to 8 positions in the final ranking of the "Valentin Granatkin" tournament which is held in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Slovakia opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Martin Rymarenko overcame Hristo Lalev with a shot from 11 meters.
The Bulgarians equalized in the 18th minute. Borislav Vakadinov crossed from the left side in to the penalty area, Martin Minchev shot and after a ricochet at the crossbar the ball crossed the goal line for 1:1.
A minute later Slovakia scored a second goal. Martin Vician netted the ball with a strong shot from 20 meters.
In 52th minute Bulgaria were reduced to 10 men. The substitute Anton Tungarov held Jakub Kudlicka in to the penalty area and the referee Kirill Silantiev showed him a direct red card and gave Slovakia a penalty. Rastislav Kruzliak was accurate and shaped the final outcome.
Bulgaria U18`s next opponent will be Slovenia. The game for 7-8 positions in the final standings will be played on the 21st of January, Saturday at 10:00 GTM+2.
