The Bulgarian national team for amateurs finished with a win its participation in UEFA Regions' Cup

The Bulgarian national team for amateurs ended with a win its participation in UEFA Region`s Cup Tournament. Bulgaria was host of the four-team mini-tournament in Group 2 from the Intermediate round, as the games were played in Simitli and Razlog between 27-31 October.

Two days after beating San Marino 5:1, now the “Lions” defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2:0.

In the other match, which was played in Razlog, San Marino beat Spain 1:0.

Thus, in the final standings Spain, Bulgaria and San Marino gathered 6 points each after 3 games, but the Spaniards have advanced to the Finals because of a superior goal difference.

The team of Bosnia and Herzegovina finished in last place with 0 points.

Stadium "Septemvri" in Simitli was filled with people supporting the national team, which began the meeting strongly.

In the 11th minute Faikov could have opened the scoring from a free kick, but the goalie Hamidovich saved his shot. Gogov and Domozetski also tried their luck, but missed the target and in the 21st minute Ivanov hit the post.

A minute later, Pushkarov sended the ball home for 1:0 after Faikov`s assist.

Two minutes before the break, the “Lions” doubled their lead. Ivanov found Hadzhiev, who overcame Hamidovich for 2:0.

In the second part the Bulgarians could have made their victory even more pronounced, but the guest`s goalie saved Ivanov and Hadzhiev`s shots.
