Ivaylo Petev leaves Bulgarian "A" national team

Ivaylo Petev resigned as Bulgarian "A" national team coach yesterday. The 41-year old manager payed a buy-out clause in his contract with the Bulgarian Football Union to be able to leave his job before the end of the contract in December this year. His assistant Alexi Zhelyazkov and the team doctor Valentin Velikov had also been released.

The Bulgarian Football Union is expected to announce in short terms Petev's successor, who will make a debut in the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against France in Paris (7 October) and against Sweden in Solna (10 October).
