The Bulgarian National team ended its participation in Euro Beach Soccer League in Siófok, Hungary after a victory over Denmark 5:4. The team finished in third place in its group 1, Division 2 with three points. In the first two matches of the tournament the "Lions" were defeat by Azerbaijan (2: 7) and Hungary (3: 7).
The Bulgarians were better than their opponents on the sand. They played aggressively and assertively in attack, won the majority of the challenges, demonstrated good cooperation and showed tactical maturity, as they had 21 shots on target and scored five goals.
The "Lions" took the lead five times during the game. After an action-packed first period that saw seven of the nine goals scored, Raedkjaer was able to drag Denmark back on level terms only for M. Zhivkov to make the most of his side’s numerical advantage and fire the winner.
