The ceremony for Second Professional league draw for the forthcoming season 2016/2017 took place at “Rodina” Hall at the “Vassil Levski” National Stadium.
The new championship starts on August 6th, 2016 and 16 teams will take part in it. Winter break will be from December 18th, 2016 to February 25th, 2017. Second Professional league season includes 30 rounds and the championship will end on May 28th, 2017.
The champion receives direct promotion to the elite, while second and third will play barrages with teams from First professional league. The last four teams will be relegated to the lower division.
