The Minister of Youth and Sports Krassen Kralev, BFU Deputy Executive Director Anton Popov, BFU Executive Committee member Emil Kostadinov, BFU technical director Pavel Panov and BFU regional coach Emil Spasov visited Bansko to get acquainted with the conditions and preparation of U19 teams, who are part of Children&Youth Football Development programme.

The project is implemented under the auspices of the Bulgarian Football Union and BFU president Borislav Mihailov and is financially supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which allocated 1 million BGN for its implementation.

The aim is to build a modern system of management of children and youth football that meets the high standards set by developed football countries. For the first time physical condition tests were conducted and based on the players results an extensive database will be created. After the programme completion the results will be analyzed and sent to clubs with recommendations. The idea of these tests is to create unified system for evaluation and physical preparation for young athletes to improve the quality of their performance.

The Programme was held for the first year and involves 12 clubs with the best performing children and youth football schools in three age groups - U19, U17 and U15. The host centers are three - Bansko, Tryavna and Sliven. For each age group 12 day camps are organized. The teams are divided into three groups of four in one of the host centers. Each team plays each of the other teams in the group once.

Slavia (Sofia), Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) and Pirin (Blagoevgrad). In Triavna are the teams of Botev (Plovdiv), Septemvri (Sofia), Levski (Sofia) and Montana (Montana) and in Sliven are Ludogorets (Razgrad), Beroe (Stara Zagora) Chernomorets (Burgas) and Cherno More (Varna).
