A total of 120 players took part in the Women U12s Football Festival, which was held from 17-th to 19-th of June at "Lokomotiv" stadium in Dryanovo.
8 teams participated in the Festival, organized by BFU and funded by UEFA as part of the „Women`s Football Development Programme“.
The festival was held in two phases. In the first phase, the teams were divided into two groups of four teams, while in the second phase came time for knockout matches and matches for place.
"Women Football Club" from Varna won 1:0 the final against "Ekomet 90".
In the end of the Festival came time for the individual awards. Katya Ilieva from „Ekomet“ 90 received the award for best Goalkeeper.
Maria Brashnarova from „Sportika“ has been elected as the best Defender of the Festival, while Dimitrina Ivanova from „Women Football Club“ Varna has been named the best Forward. Lydia Boyanova from "LP Supersport“ received the MVP award.
The award ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Dryanovo Denitsa Vachkova and the President of the Municipal Council Drianovo Todor Georgiev.
