For the third year in a row, Bulgaria was host of UEFA Women’s Development Tournament. Once again the teams were really satisfied with the organization and we saw that the performance standards have been increasing ever since 2014. The BFU tried to make the teams feel at home, using two stadiums for all matches for the girls while the hotels were situated really close to the training facilities and the stadiums.
Bulgaria will be hosting one more UEFA Women’s Development Tournament in August.
UEFA has set up the development tournaments to offer young football talents an additional opportunity to play competitive international matches.
