“The game was equivalent. Both teams had their chances. I think that the draw was fair. The weather conditions were far from ideal. The strong wind caused some problems for both teams. As a result the game was hard and full of challenges. We won most of the tackles. I am satisfied with my team which showed fighting spirit and character. There was a development in our performance after each game, but there is still a room for improvement, especially in our play style. The collective is at a very good level. There are other players who are in my sight and have yet to be called in the squad and they will get a chance to prove themselves. The process is open.”, said Bulgaria`s Head Coach Aleksander Georgiev after the game.
In the other game Croatia beat Georgia 3:2.
Thus, Romania finished in first place with 8 points, followed by Croatia - 6, Bulgaria – 3 and Georgia – 1.
(According to the regulations of the tournament 3 points are given for a win in the regular time, 2 points for a penalty shoot-out win and 1 point for a penalty shoot-out loss).
