The Bulgarians had plenty of goalscoring opportunities, but failed to materialize them.
Antoni Zdravkov`s team dominated on the pitch, as the “young lions” had superior ball possession and were aggressive enough. The host relied primarily on counterattacks.

Until the break Nikola Kolev, Miki Orachev, Milen Gamakov, Kristiyan Malinov, Aleksander Vasilev and Radoslav Tsonev could have scored, but missed their chances.
In the second half the situation didn`t change. The Luxembourgers were defending in most of the time and the Bulgarians were trying to find a way to net the ball.

In the 56th minute Aleksander Vasilev was left one-on-one with the goalie and shot, but missed the target.
Seven minutes later Vutov tried his luck from 20 meters, but the ball went wide.

In the final minutes the host could have won the game after a fast counter attack, but Kitanov saved Thill`s shot.
