The Bulgarian national Under-17 national team played another good game in the Elite round for EURO 2016. Two days after the goalless draw against the Netherlands today the team record a 1:1 draw with Germany.
Victorio Pavlov`s players once again demonstrated character, will to win and devotion in a dramatic match with two red cards.
The first goalscoring opportunity came in 9th minute when Dadachov shot, but Sheytanov saved.
Four minutes later, Bulgaria responded with a shot by Tilev, but Bartels made a fine save.
In the next few minutes the captain Sheytanov again showed his class and saved Meyer and Harvertz`s shots.
In the 18th minute Amade committed a foul against Krastev into the penalty area. The referee Rob Harvey showed a direct red card to the defender and pointed to the spot. Ivan Tilev materialized the penalty and gave Bulgaria the lead.
A few minutes later Stanislav Ivanov could have doubled Bulgaria`s lead, but Bartels was in his place and saved.
The Germans tried to equalize, but Sheytanov was flawless and denied Mayer`s shots.
By the end the goal scorer Tilev had a chance to net another one, but Bartels did not allow another goal.
Eight minutes into the second half the Germans managed to equalize. Schreck was the scorer.
In the next minutes the hosts dominated on the pitch, but Sheytanov saved Itter and Havertz`s shots.
In the 70th minute Krastev received a red card for a foul.
In the other match of our group, the Netherlands beat Slovakia 2:0.
The Netherlands leads the Group with 4 points, followed by Germany with 3 and Bulgaria 2 points. Slovakia are without a point after the two consecutive defeats.
The last and decisive match of Bulgaria is against Slovakia on 29 March at 19:00 hrs. in Ratingen.
The group winners and seven runners-up with the best record against the teams first and third in their section advance to the finals to join the hosts Azerbaijan.
