Almost 100 coaches attended at the seminar for Development of youth academies in Southwest Bulgaria

Almost 100 coaches attended at the seminar for Development of youth academies specially about the football formats 5, 7 and 9 in Southwest Bulgaria

The one day seminar was held in Sofia and was organized by the BFU Sofia Zonal Council.

The event began with a moment of silence in memory of one of Bulgaria`s greatest football players Trifon Ivanov who has died at the age of 50.  

The seminar included a theoretical session and a presentation that was made by Plamen Mihov, who is director of the BFU Children's and junior football department. The main goal of the seminar was to familiarize the coaches who are working in the Youth academies of the clubs and are playing a key role for the development of children with all modern trends in their profession in dealing with children. The presentation included various topics such as: physical, technical, tactical and psychological preparation of adolescents.

Thereafter Mihov made an analysis of the concept for staff development and methodological consistency in the development of players from 6 to 19 years old which was adopted in 2012.

After the end of the presentation the head coaches of Bulgaria`s U16, U17 and U19 national teams – Aleksander Georgiev, Viktorio Pavlov and Svetoslav Todorov held an open training session with children in front of their colleagues. The purpose was to show them the basic elements of the game and the training process which consisted of technical and tactical part.
