The Bulgarian under-17 national team, which is led by Viktorio Pavlov, won its last match for 11th place against Moldova with 3:2 in the “Granatkin Memorial” international football tournament which was held in Saint Petersburg (Russia). The Bulgarians who are a year younger than their opponents, dominated in most of the time and deservedly outplayed their opponents. The striker Stanislav Ivanov deservedly owned the spotlight with his hat trick.
First Half
The Bulgarians played better than their opponents during the first part and logically opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Stanislav Ivanov stole the ball from a defender and send it home in one on one situation with the goalkeeper.
10 minutes later the young lions organized another fast attack. Ivanov found Ivan Mitrev on the left side, but his shot went wide.


In the 33rd minute the Bulgarians should have scored another goal. Vakadinov made a run by the right side and found Ivanov into the box, he shot from close range, but the goalie saved.
The Moldovans had two good opportunities, but Petrov saved Ibrian`s shots.


Second Half
The second part began as the first with domination and a second goal for Bulgaria. Ivan Mitrev crossed from the right side and Stanislav Ivanov scored with a volley.
Four minutes later Ivanov could have scored his third goal after he was left again one on one with the goalie, but this time Oleg Dinga saved his shot.


After that the Moldovans took advantage of the sudden drop in the Bulgaria`s performance and managed to equalize. Vitalie Damascan scored two headers after Victor Stina`s assists.
That didn`t discourage the Bulgarians, who retook the initiative and won the game by 3:2. Stanislav Ivanov made a solo run by the right side, beating three defenders and scored his hat trick with a paraboliccal shot.
