The summoned players for the "A" national team training camp finished 1:1 against the Bulgarian under-21 national team in а friendly game. The match was played at the training pitch of the Bulgarian Football Union in Pravets.
In the 4th minute the "A" team could have opened the scoring when Nikolay Dimitrov shot from a free kick, but Kitanov was on place and saved.
Five minutes later Kitanov denied Baltanov`s shot outside the penalty area.
In the 13th minute Bulgaria U21 broke the deadlock. Yulian Nenov made a fine run by the right side and crossed to Aleksander Vasilev who netted the ball. A minute later Kitanov once again saved Nikolay Dimitrov`s shot from a free kick. Four minutes later after a missunderstanding in the “A” team`s defense, Kolev was left one-on-one with Stoyanov, but the goalkeeper made two successively saves, denying Kolev and Trayanov`s shots.
In the 21st minute Nikolay Dimitrov tried for third time to beat the goalkeeper from a free kick, but his shot went close by the post. Four minutes later Nenov ran by the left side and found Aleksander Vasilev unmarked, but he missed the target.
In the 33rd minute Nikolay Dimitrov crossed to the defender Yordan Minev who joined the attack, but his volley was saved by Kitanov.
The "A" team equalized in the 40th minute when Vutov who impressed in the first half passed a through ball to Nikolay Dimitrov on the left side and Xantis`s player found the net with a diagonal shot.
Until the end of the first half the "A" team had another scoring opportunity. Vutov crossed from a corner kick, but Aleksander Aleksandrov`s header went wide.
During the second half Stefan Velkov and Aleksander Vasilev returned on the pitch and replaced their teammates who received minor injuries.
Until the end of the game the play was focused mainly in midfield and there were no scoring opportunities.
