The UEFA Referees Committee assigned the observers for each of the member associations. The Frenchman Marc Batta is the new supervisor of the Bulgarian referees. He is a former FIFA long time referee and currently is a member of the UEFA Referees Committee. Batta will be responsible for the development strategy of the Bulgarian referees in FIFA. He will monitor their performance, both domestically and internationally. The 61-year-old Batta, who is also a UEFA referee observer had the opportunity to meet with most of the Bulgarian referees during the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Bulgaria. Furthermore, Mr. Batta was a guest lecturer at the winter seminar for referees in professional football in Bulgaria. The former referee, born in Marseilles will be also a supervisor of the referees from Belgium, Andorra and France.
