Bulgaria U17 won a second consecutive game during its training camp in Germany. After defeating Westfalia U17 with 2:0 two days ago, now the team won by the same margin against a regional team at "Kayserau" sports complex.
In the 14th minute Atanas Kabov shot but the goalkeeper cleared the ball in to a corner kick. Two minutes before the end of the first half Viktorio Pavlovs` players opened the score. Nikola Gavov crossed the ball from a corner kick and the captain Nikolay Yankov found the net with a strong header.
Soon afterwards, again after a corner kick, Yankov had the chance to double Bulgarias` lead, but the ball went wide.
Seconds after the start of the second half the Bulgarian players organized a multipass combination. The substitute Husein Traykov made a fine run by the left side and found Nikola Gavov who shot but the ball went centimeters from the crossbar. In the 78th minute Angel Angelov was in the right place after a corner kick and shaped the outcome of the game – 0:2.
The training camp in Germany was part of Viktorio Pavlovs` team preparation for the upcoming qualifications for the EURO 2016 in Azerbaijan. Bulgaria is going to be host of the qualifying round and will compete against the teams of Italy, Scotland and FYR Macedonia in Group 12. The matches will be played in Burgas and Sozopol between 21th and 26th of October.
The top two in each qualifying round group along with the five third-placed teams with the best records against the leading pair will join Germany in the elite round in spring 2016. That will eventually decide the 15 sides to join hosts Azerbaijan in the finals that May.
