For the second consecutive year Tryavna is the host of Bulgarian national football 7 and football 9 finals.
This year the program includes also football 5 for children born 2006/2007. The sports complex in the city "Angel Kanchev" has become a host for the tournament with some matches to be played at the sports center in the nearest village Plachkovtsi. The group stage of football 5 consists of six teams split into two groups of tree teams - "Slavia" (Sofia), "Botev" (Plovdiv), "Vekta" (Plovdiv) "Nessebar", "Montana Stars" and "Sofia Daf". Yesterday they played their first matches.

The total number of teams participating in the tournament is 22, and the children involved are nearly 400. An interesting fact is that no team has their representatives in all three age groups.
In all the three age groups first group stage will be played. In the final phase matches will be played for the allocation of places for the final standings. The winners of each group will compete for the 1-2 place, second for 3-4 place, and the third for 5-6 place and last for 7-8 (5-6 in football 5). While football 5 tournament consists of two groups of 3 teams in football 7 and football 9 – teams are split in two groups of 4 teams.
For the prizes in football 7 tournament will compete the teams of "Levski" (Sofia), CSKA (Sofia), "Locomotive" (Plovdiv), "Chernomoretz" (Burgas), "Cherno More" (Varna), "Yantra 1919" (Gabrovo ) "Preciz" (Montana) and "Beroe" (Stara Zagora).
Eight teams will take part in the higher age group - football 9. "Levski", "Slavia", "Botev", "Chernomoretz" (Burgas), "Etar" (Veliko Tarnovo), "Ariston" (Rousse) " Pirin "(Blagoevgrad) and Bdin 1923 (Vidin) are the teams that reached the finals inTryavna.
The opening took place at the sports complex in Tryavna. The mayor of the city Eng. Dragomir Nikolov and Plamen Mihov, director of BFU Children and youth football department warmly thanked all those present and spoke about the development of childrens’ football in Bulgaria during the last few years. The organizers of the tournament are Plamen Mihov, Emil Spasov and Sasho Yordanov - regional coaches, Dimitar Kukuvanov coordinator of BFU Children and youth football department and Pavel Panov, technical director of the national association.
