Bulgaria U21 national team lost from Austria with 1:3 in a friendly game at the "Hoe Warte" Stadium in Vienna.
The hosts took the lead in the 5th minute. Christian Derflinger netted the ball with a strong shot from 23 meters after a mistake in the Bulgarian defence. In the 22th minute Nikola Dovedan was left one on one with the goalkeeper but Kitanov made a fine save and prevented a secure second goal for the Austrians. Antoni Zdravkovs` players have created a few goal scoring opportunities but Antonio Vutov`s shot was saved by Daniel Bachman and Georgi Minchev missed the target twice.
During the second half both teams have made a number of substitutions. In the 64th minute Alessandro Schoff doubled Austria`s advantage. He shot just outside the penalty area and after a ricochet from Radoslav Terziev the ball entered into the goal for the second time. In the 76th minute Radoslav Tsonev scored a goal after a long shot which surprised the goalkeeper. The Bulgarians tried to equalize in the final minutes of the game but instead conceded a third goal. Derflinger crossed the ball from the right wing into the penalty area where the unmarked Schoff shaped the outcome of the game - 3:1 for Austria.
