The U17 Bulgarian team won a convincing victory agains Macedonia – 4:1 – in one of its last friendly games before the U17 UEFA European Championship in May. The game was played at the “Hristo Botev” stadium in Blagoevgrad.
Georgi Rusev’s accurate pass was used properly by Tonislasv Yordanov in the 26th minute, when Bulgarian opened the score. Just 4 minutes later the visitors took advantage of a corner-kick and equalized. The response of the young lions came very soon, as Asen Chandarov was left unmarked in the box after a corner-kick and the talented player made it 2:1 with no hesitation. In the 37th minute Pavel Gospodinov scored a third goal for the home side. The second half was much more boring, despite the changes that were made by both managers. However, Rosen Krastev scored one more goal for Bulgaria, as he netted the ball after a good cross from Svetoslav Kovachev.
