Bulgarian national under-18 football team lost 0:1 to Slovenia on matchday two in Group C from the Granatkin Memorial Tournament in Saint Petersburg (Russia). The match was played in SCC Petersburgsky Stadium. The game was equivalent, interesting, dynamic and the players fought for every ball. In the 36th minute Slovenia opened the scoring. Mrkonja passed the ball to Repas who scored with a shot from 20 meters.
From that moment until the end of the game Bulgaria totally dominated their opponents. The “young lions” created 3-4 scoring opportunities, but did not manage to score any of them. Elsnik Timi Max and Nikolay Minkov were selected as men of the match.
