Bulgaria U-21 lost 1:2 to FC Sozopol

Bulgarian national under-21 football team lost 1:2 to FC Sozopol in a friendly match at “Hadji Dimitar” stadium in Sliven. Bulgaria`s head coach Antoni Zdravkov gave all his players the chance to shine. He divided them into to two different squads for each of the halves.

Bekir Rasim opened the scoring for Bulgaria in the first half, which ended at 1:0. In the second half Sozopol made a complete comeback to win 2:1.

Antoni Zdravkov said after the game: "I`m pleased with our play in the first half. We`ve created 3-4 chances to score, scored a goal and don`t gave the opponent any dangerous chances to score. In the second half we underestimated Sozopol and naturally lost. I can say that I am pleased with our performance in the last 15 minutes, although we did miss a few chances. I am not happy that we lost the game. We must clear the errors now to prevent them happening in official games. This camp was mainly to get to know more players, to give them a chance to introduce themselves and finally to build a squad of 22 - 23 players to work with. This does not mean that we will not continue to watch other players and to summon those who perform best. The problem is that we have no time, "said Zdravkov.
